Family Literacy Day Celebration



Family Literacy Day Celebration -  The PEI Literacy Alliance and the PEI Public Library Service partner on this free family event each January. The event takes place on the Saturday before Family Literacy Day (January 27). Families are invited to come and celebrate family literacy and take part in fun activities and enjoy celebrity readers, live music, healthy snacks and prizes.

In 2017, Family Literacy Day Celebration will take place at the new Inspire Learning Centre in Summerside!

Family Literacy Day in Canada – January 27
Family Literacy Day was created in 1999 by ABC Life Literacy Canada to encourage families to read and learn together. Every year thousands of Canadians take part in Family Literacy Day.
